Purpose of Class

  •   This class shows you how to create a Virtual Hard drive on your RAM that will be 10x faster then a Solid State Drive.

Class Notes

  • RAM Disks/ Drives are created by software that makes the computer think a portion of RAM is an actual Hard Drive
  • RAM Disks are faster then any other storage medium
  • Because RAM is volatile Memory if power is disconnected all data is lost from a RAM Disk.
  • RAM Disk software tries to mitigate data loss by cache data from the RAM Disk to an IMG file on a regular hard drive
