Overview

The SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Drive allows you to easily add storage to your mobile device.  To use you install the SanDisk Media Connect App on your device, you then connect to the Media Drive as if it’s a wireless network, and then from the App you can view, upload, and download files from the Media Drive.

With an advertised 8 hour battery life, the ability to connect 5 mobile devices simultaneously, and a 150 ft range this is a very useful device.  The ability to add storage using an SSD card to the Drive is also a very valuable ability.

Unfortunately the Media Drive does seem more difficult to use then it should be, but it seems that this more due to limitations of mobile devices. A big “warning” is that although you can play high def non DRM video from the device I could not get it to play iTunes TV shows or Movies.  Even when I copied the files from the Media Drive to the iPad using the SanDisk App the DRM videos still did not play.
