Apparently the Magic Number of Twitter Followers is 10,000
I was discussing Social Media Marketing and Sponsorship with a VC last week and he let me know that apparently the magic number of Twitter Followers for companies to want to sponsor you is 10,000. The theory goes that if you have 10K Twitter Followers you are in the running to become sponsored and paid by real companies to get their name out to your followers.
After hearing this I checked around with some friends and associates and they all see to agree with the assessment. So if you are looking to make money from your Twitter Stream the magic number is 10,000.
Sadly I have used Twitter as a Social Network refuse pile for the past few years so I’m shocked to see that I even have 2,264. Now that I know that Twitter is a way to bring in some extra money I am doing my best to clean up my feed and put out content that is more then glossed over spam…
