Folder Size Shows You What Is Filling Up Your Hard Drive
No matter how large the Hard Drives get they will inevitably be filled to the brim at some point. Usually they end up getting cluttered with long forgotten downloads, or log files that never get deleted. Once a Hard Drive has less then 1GB of space left the entire computer starts acting wonky. This is annoying for personal computers, and down right disastrous for servers.
I have found that a Freeware program called Folder Size is a life saver. This piece of software scans your hard drives and then shows you what files and folders are taking up the most space. Many times Windows or Adobe temp folders will get to be 100GB+ in size and as an average user you will have no idea how to easily find these folders and clean them out.
To use Folder Size you simply download and install the software. Open Folder Size –> Select Which Hard Drive to Scan in the Upper Left Hand Corner and then Click the Green RUN Arrow Button. It will take a few minutes to run, and then when it’s down you can navigate through the folder structure like you were in Explorer. It’s a very easy to use tool, and it will allow you to manually clean up a drive in a way the likes of CCleaner cannot help you with.
Additionally Folder Size works on all Windows Operating Systems including Windows 7, and Server Editions.
