Exam Cram are the Best Books for Studying for Certification Tests

I’ve decided that since I’m more of an “educator” vs. being a “technician” that I should go back to boning up on my certifications.  God help me if I ever have to work for someone again it will look good on my resume, and it will also act as a good tool for finding new topics to teach you guys about.

Thankfully I’ve found that Exam Cram books still exist!  These books were essential reading back when I got my first certifications in 1999-2000.  With the slow down of the certification business I thought they may have gone the way of the dinosaur.

Exam Cram books break down the certification tests into easy to understand concepts.  They are best for those that already have experience in a topic, or have studied more in-depth books.  They find the core concepts that you have to understand and then simply spell out what you have to remember.  They have numerous quizzes throughout the book, and then have long final tests at the end. They now also come with supplemental CD’s with computer based tests and extras.

They are a bit prices at around $45 for a seemingly small book, but they are worth every penny.  You can find them at any Barnes and Noble, Borders or Amazon.  Just make sure that you buy the most current edition.  Local book shops have a nasty habit of selling editions that are one or two behind the current ones.
