    Hi Eli,

I like your talks, if I were you, I’d break them up into smaller separate clips next to the list items (such as “Geeks vs. Tech Workers”), and add some summary text so you can have them indexed. And then put them on youtube. I only saw 2 videos listed for you there.

Camera is too far back. 2/3s of screen is brick wall. not exciting! And rotate it 90 degrees for portrait shot, so it focuses on you. And tape off the lines so you know how to stay in camera.

See where the field is going?! What IT field? There are as many paths as there are grains of sand on the beach… seminars, why not online forums? Sometimes I even buy books. Seems to me you can get the most bang for your buck by getting a good book on a topic. Glad to see you’re running apprentice courses.

So what did you say about sending the 100 people home? Was the T1 fixed in a timely manner?

And what’s up with using   after periods??? in your blogs. Um, double-spacing went out with the IBM selectric type-writers.

    regards,
    Michael

Absolutly brilliant! if this were to become a pay site, I’d sign up in a heartbeat! Absolutly plain english, telling it like it is, just what folk need-most usefull. Currently doing compTIA A+ as a precurser to the CCNA and my tutor is good but she only really reads through the notes we allready have. She’ll answer any questions you might have but when you have half a million like me, time is a bit of a constraint. Watching your vidieos has been so helpfull that rather than being ahead of the rest of the class in terms of test results, I believe I would be struggling right now and loosing quite a bit of heart. Good on ya!!
Hey, mabey you could do something on iPhones and tablets as I am far too poor to afford these things and therefore have no idea what they are about…..

    Keep it up Eli!!

    Hi Eli !

Thanks a lot for those amazing videos ! I got a question. Do you have any video about Work orders templates or Invoices ? What about Service legal agreements ? I’m almost ready to launch my business, but I’m stuck with these.

    Thanks Again !

I just wanted to let you know that I am really enjoying the fountain of information you have so graciously shared here. I plan on reviewing all of your lectures. I am new to the field and plan on attending courses once I have a solid foundation. I hope I will be able to fly through my courses and get certified. So to speak, you are my first Professor. Thank you and I hope to comment more in the future.

Hi, Eli. I am sooo glad I come across your site. It really lays out the IT field how it really is. I am due to graduate with my B.S. in Network Design and Management this Summer. I plan on viewing all of your videos before the Fall. I know I have a lot to learn, but I love technology so much that doing the hard work is actually enjoyable. I know in this field we have to constantly stay abreast with technology. It is a constant learning curve. Thanks for the site. I will donate…
P.S. I think you are the Salman Khan of I.T. Keep up the great work…

Yeah, the how and the when to jump into the it stream is a bit of a quandry. We all know a buddy whos making 90k a year consulting anf playing alot of xbox. Than you see cisco gerus on unemployment. My passion comes from just understanding junk and passing it on. Like to a geek friend or a granny paying me. I’m a newbie geek but i know i will succeed just because i want to and the imfo is its own reward so hey how can you fail. Eli’s ” state of the union” address inspires me to just try shit and see what happens. Get out there mess some things up, learn, make some coin and get better. The Internets just dripping with good/free/confusion/scandalous/un authentic DUY imfo i can relay appreciate a site that has a “special of the day” feel and a general approach the computer science. We need to build a vocabulary and a conceptual idea before we tech out on the excruciatingly small details of sytem configuration and application. Its good to find a place that will tell you how a router works ( for approximately 1 hour and fifteen minutes LOL)
